This wonderful lady I know posted this the other week. It’s so cute you just can’t help but smile.
It also reminded me of this:
which is quite possibly my favorite of all time.

mixtape no. 1
November 8, 2010
I want to start making collections of songs that are repeat in my life each week– this is the first & is from the last week/weekend. Maybe it would be better to do these at the end of the week rather than the beginning, trial and error at it’s finest.
1. Dog Days — Florence and the Machine
2. The Cave — Mumford and Sons
3. Let the Rain — Sara Bareilles
4. Little Lion Man — Mumford and Sons
5. Comptine D’un Autre Ete — Yann Tiersen
6. Laughing With — Regina Spektor
7. Star Star — The Frames
8. Save the World — P.T Walkley
9. Tenderoni — Kele

the baker in me.
November 2, 2010
I really enjoy the rust and wear and love of this mixer, as well as the overall feel of the photo. It just brings about such a calm that I only feel when baking. Looking at it inspires me to bake more often than I have been this semester, as I’m sure my mixer is feeling a wee bit neglected at the moment.
I hope that someday my mixer looks half as well-loved as this one does.
Photo taken by Brian Ferry — he’s got some pretty neat stuff on his blog!

Oil & Water
October 28, 2010
Yes, that is oil from the coast of Louisiana. Yes, it was used to screen print this awesome poster. Yes, you can buy one right here, or you can just make a donation, but you probably want the poster, too!
This is a project by Happiness Brussels and ALL of the proceeds go to the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.

Brixton
October 28, 2010
I love the lighting and feel of these pictures from Brixton’s new Holiday Lookbook. Everything is just so fresh and simple. It’s pretty afforadable, as well, which is always a plus!
Only a few of them are shown here, but they’ve got a pretty nice hat collection. It really makes me wish I wore hats on a more regular basis!
They’ve also got a pretty sweet blog going on!
