Winter is around the corner and a longing for new boots is near. These are just a few that have caught my eye.

I just got Anthro’s catalog in the mail the other day & I absolutely loved all the images in it. These are just a few of my favorites. I want the house that they shoot in. The decor is always so fantastic. The bed in the room with the chalkboard walls is my absolute favorite. I want it!

More Gardens

June 4, 2010

I have had such a fascination with gardens and plants lately that it’s no wonder these String Gardens caught my eye while browsing Poppy Talk. There’s just something so elegant about the way they are suspended in the air by string. I also really enjoy the ball of soil at the bottom, although I’m not sure how clean that would be.

These orange ones are so pretty. I wish I could have them in my house.

Wishlist Wednesday

June 2, 2010

I love small over the shoulder bags as they force me to carry along only what I need–I’m definitely one of those girls with Mary Poppins Syndrome when it comes to filling purses. These bags from Swedish Hasbeens are so fun and the perfect size not to be complaining of a sore back at the end of the day. I’m really liking all the fun colors that they come in.

I’m also really loving these Worthis backpacks. Each bag, constructed in Melbourne, is made with organic hand-loomed fabric from India. These would be the perfect backpack for summer picnics & trips to the beach. I just might have to snag one for my Peru trip that’s coming up.

During my daily blog browsing this morning I came across these lovely bags on Oh, Hello Friend. The bags, by Quotes, are made of canvas and leather and each style is only made in few quantities.

Here are some of my favorites:
Head on over to Oh, Hello Friend before June 7th for a chance to win the Canvas & Leather Saddle Bag.

Lego Island

May 23, 2010

I discovered this Lego island on Poppy Talk. It was designed by Simon Pillard and Philippe Rossetti by gluing 20,000 Legos to the outside of an Ikea island. I think this would be fabulous in an all white kitchen, or even to take this idea and use it as a back splash behind a stove. Finding 20,000 Legos would be quite the task, but I definitely think I want to try something similar when I have my own house.

let’s get crafty.

I’ve determined that this summer and next year I’m going to channel my inner craft lover and make lots of fun things to decorate my new place with. These are just a few of the crafts that I’ve got my eye on.
I’m determined to have a clock wall & I think it would be fun to have some clocks that I made myself in the collection.

I’m also determined to have a garden in San Francisco. I love the look of the glass bottles & it’s also nice that they can sortof take care of themselves.

I think this would be a good arts and crafts project for a rainy day. Not to mention a good excuse to scrounge the thrift store for old books.

Last summer I wanted to learn how to knit/crochet. This may not be a bad place to start and it beats boring old sponges any day.

With my determination to have a garden, I thought these would be a good way to make flower pots more fun and decorative. I love any excuse to use cork and especially love the idea of sticking notes/pictures to the outside with sewing pins.
